I grew up with my father scaring the heck out of us with La Llorona stories... especially on Halloween night when we cut through fields to get to other streets in our neighborhood (down by the Rio Grande).

Great site. Thanks!

Thanks, Beth.

The La LLorona stories are similar to the Resurrection Mary stories, but with a twist. The woman is jilted by her unfaithful husband and in despair, kills herself as well as her children. Similar ghost stories are common throughout the Southwest and Mexico.

I'm am glad you are enjoying the site and thanks for reading.
